Another main purpose is to set its course firmly towards becoming 2022\u2019s World Design Capital<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

Since ancient times, Bangkok<\/strong> has opened its doors to welcome people from all walks of life, who gives Bangkok a creative push, fusing the city\u2019s way of life with ethnic<\/strong> and cultural diversities<\/strong>. At present, when a single unit of knowledge is unable to fully respond to the complex and overarching needs of consumers, the multidisciplinary<\/strong> approach is becoming the key to drive new creativity in the present and the future.\u00a0This approach combines traditional practices, such as crafts<\/strong>, with digital<\/strong> and technology<\/strong>, and merges the creation of profits with social impact. It also recognizes the fuse of marketing strategy<\/strong> and production process<\/strong>, and the merge of arts<\/strong> and science<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

BKKDW 2018<\/strong>, the first Bangkok Design Week, was held by TCDC<\/strong> and more than 500 partners and collaborators from the public and private sectors, academic institutions and cultural organizations. There were more than 400,000 visitors throughout the 9-day festival period. In 2019, the journey goes on.<\/p>\n
