Masquespacio<\/strong><\/em> is an award-winning creative consultancy created in 2010 by Ana Milena Hern\u00e1ndez Palacios and Christophe Penasse. Combining the 2 disciplines of their founders, interior design<\/strong><\/em> and marketing<\/strong><\/em>, the Spanish design<\/strong><\/em> agency creates custom<\/strong><\/em>-made branding and interior projects<\/strong><\/em> through a unique approach that results in fresh and innovative concepts. Our magazine, CovetED<\/a>, <\/strong><\/em>had the pleasure of meeting the two at\u00a0Casa D\u00e9cor 2020<\/a><\/strong><\/em>, in Madrid. Keep reading and see why we loved the project.<\/p>\n

\"Masquespacio:<\/p>\n

Exhibiting for the first time at an amazing event such as Casa Decor<\/strong><\/em>, the duo shared with us what they loved the most about their experience. \u201cas the best memory the camaraderie between the different interior designers<\/strong><\/em> and designers. Each one presents their own style<\/strong><\/em> which makes the event very eclectic<\/strong><\/em> and diverse<\/strong><\/em>, also with a spirit of sharing and getting to know other people in the sector that you may have been following for many years, but that you do not know in person.\u201d, they claimed.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were clear from the beginning that we would like to show that a commercial product such as ceramics could (\u2026)\u00a0So we decided to create a living room in which a tribute to ceramics is made, using it not only for walls and ceilings, but also for a series of pieces of furniture. With a touch of velvet and plants, we could also give it a warmer and more sophisticated touch.\u201d<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\"Masquespacio:<\/p>\n

Masquespacio<\/strong><\/em> exhibited a space for Roca Tile in Casa Decor to pay tribute to ceramics and its features in interior<\/strong> design<\/strong><\/em> and decoration<\/strong><\/em>, with a nod to contemporary<\/strong><\/em> Greco-Roman architecture<\/strong><\/em> and to surrealist fantasies that give us a feeling of timelessness.\u00a0\u00a0The space called \u201cA Look to the Future from the Past\u201d, explores the new ways that, thanks to Roca technology, it is possible to adapt ceramics to any use, including symbolic furnishings<\/strong><\/em> that \u201cobserve\u201d us and details of organic<\/strong><\/em> vegetation, in counterpoint to the floor and wall coverings, to form an environment made unique<\/strong><\/em> by its composition and lighting<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

\"Masquespacio:<\/p>\n

The elegance of the twisting waters of polished marble<\/strong><\/em>, its light-enhancing effects and reflectivity are reproduced in porcelain<\/strong><\/em>, in wider color ranges than those of the natural stone itself, with luminous finishes, such as the indigo and cobalt of Marble Nouveau and the white with ochre crisscrossed streaks of Marble Parana.<\/p>\n

\u201cGreco-Roman inspiration can be seen in the space, but brought into the future and a touch of surreal fantasy. Later on the space, we have finished calling it a \u2018ceramic dream\u2019 and a space that is as if it were a mood board of Roca Tile materials.\u201d<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\"Masquespacio:<\/p>\n

The new Roca Tile collections on exhibit at Casa Decor<\/strong><\/em> arise from an exclusive study of trends<\/strong><\/em>, with the development of exceptionally bright marbles, solid-colored pieces<\/strong><\/em>, patterns<\/strong><\/em>, meshes<\/strong><\/em> and tiles<\/strong><\/em> that represent endless decorative possibilities, to project a coherent aesthetic<\/strong><\/em> upon integrated spaces and offer unique environments.<\/p>\n

\"Masquespacio:<\/p>\n

The environment is a stage<\/strong><\/em> and exhibition<\/strong><\/em>, for its dreamlike atmosphere and its artistic<\/strong><\/em> taste, gathered from a multitude of textures, formats, colors and finishes that change the rules of the game in the use of ceramics as a sign of inspiration<\/strong><\/em> for interior design<\/strong><\/em> projects and interior architecture<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the case of the exhibition at Casa Decor, we must bear in mind that Roca has a commitment to the environment that includes rigorous continuous improvement programs and sustainable criteria in all phases of its production process, with measures in accordance with the circular economy to decrease the impact on the environment, reduce the consumption of materials and reuse natural resources.\u201d<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\"Masquespacio:<\/p>\n

Casa Decor<\/strong><\/em> has been not only a witness but above all an active participant in the great evolution that interior design<\/strong><\/em> and design<\/strong><\/em> has undergone in Spain, by highlighting and giving importance to these disciplines, and showing the public the need to live in an aesthetic, functional, healthy and sustainable environment. Sustainability<\/strong><\/em> is one of the big trends in interior design, and for all that, the famous duo couldn\u2019t do a project thinking about the world, and the environment<\/strong><\/em>, so the project uses products that \u201chave an artisanal process and as a consequence they use production techniques by hand which automatically is less polluting\u201d<\/em>\u00a0they said.<\/p>\n

\"Masquespacio:<\/p>\n

Ana Milena Hern\u00e1ndez<\/strong><\/em> is the founder and creative director of Masquespacio. She is passionate about design and everything that has to do with it. For her design is much more than employment, it\u2019s a lifestyle. A lifestyle<\/strong><\/em> that makes her take care of every detail in her projects, looking for the optimal solution for every client, without losing the focus on distinguishing their brands<\/strong><\/em> from their competitors with fresh and innovative concepts.<\/p>\n

\"Masquespacio:<\/p>\n

Christophe Penasse<\/strong><\/em> is co-founder and actually marketing<\/strong><\/em> director of Masquespacio<\/strong><\/em>. As a marketeer he loves creating new concepts for his clients, giving greater importance to the design and identity<\/strong><\/em> of each brand. He likes everything to do with marketing, besides being passionate about design<\/strong><\/em>. At present, in addition to his job in Masquespacio, he is working as a chief editor for Blog del Dise\u00f1o, a media specialized in design founded by Masquespacio.<\/p>\n

\"Masquespacio:<\/p>\n

This is the twelfth time that this event takes place in this stately Madrid neighborhood, this time in a palace house from the early 20th century, located at 21 Vel\u00e1zquez street. With a surface of over 5600 m2, spread over 5 floors, this house stands out for the uniqueness<\/strong><\/em> of its architectural<\/strong><\/em> details, providing an ideal environment for the 50 participating interior designers to present their surprising proposals.<\/p>\n
