Studio K Creative<\/strong><\/em><\/span> is a multidisciplinary creative house in Chicago\u2019s<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/a> West Loop, formed by nationally recognized hospitality designer Karen Herold<\/strong>. Supported by a loyal following of clients and collaborators, Studio K opened its doors with an exciting portfolio of projects in 2014.<\/p>\n

Today we are going to show you the\u00a0best interior design projects<\/strong> of Studio K Creative.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

\"Studio<\/a><\/p>\n

The Studio K<\/strong><\/em> team works with a diverse collection of clients on projects ranging from restaurants and bars to student housing and high-rise residential developments. Longstanding relationships with clients including Sterling Bay, Ryan Companies, Lincoln Property Company, BOKA Group, and Core Spaces enable Studio K to showcase its talent for creating unique spaces that reflect the individuality of each client.<\/p>\n

\"STUDIO<\/a><\/p>\n

Karen Herold is known for her ability to create exciting partnerships with her clients, allowing her to impart direction on all aspects of the creative process. Studio K\u2019s<\/em><\/strong> creations are both timeless and eclectic<\/strong>; never trend\u2010driven. Karen is recognized as an invaluable resource for her ability to solve operational challenges while creating spaces that intrigue the end customer and invite them to return. Some of her most widely publicized accomplishments include Girl & the Goat, The Betty, GT Fish & Oyster, and Embeya, winner of the Jean Banchet Award for Best Restaurant Design.<\/p>\n

AURELIEN<\/span><\/h2>\n

\"STUDIO<\/a><\/span><\/h2>\n

A milestone achievement, the Aurelien was Studio K\u2019s<\/em><\/strong> first luxury housing development. Aurelien brings a new sense of quiet luxury to the Gold Coast. Its public spaces are soft, tailored, and contemporary with high-end details like burlap wall covering and intricate bronze details.<\/p>\n

BUGSY & MEYERS<\/span><\/h2>\n

\"STUDIO<\/a><\/p>\n

This space designed by Studio K<\/em><\/strong> was inspired by Bugsy Siegel and the iconic era in which Flamingo derives its reputation. The idea that you could have a secret meeting in the back of a store or restaurant from the mob times was a big inspiration to the guest experience.<\/p>\n

NOBU HOTEL<\/span><\/h2>\n

\"STUDIO<\/a><\/p>\n

The main goal of this project was to create a design that references the brand\u2019s heritage without relying on cliches. The space uses Japanese design principles to inform design choices in order to create an authentic interior that feels appropriate for the gritty west loop neighborhood. The applied natural materials played with proportions to create a dramatic space that reflects a humble approach to luxury.<\/p>\n

Studio K<\/strong><\/em> conceived and handmade the leaf sculptures throughout the hotel. It took a year to produce over 20,000 leaves, each of them embedded with various colors of gold leaf and connected by steel wire. The sculpture was inspired by the changing of the leaves in the fall, a major event in Japan that inspires many culinary events and products.<\/p>\n
