It is the signature residence of\u00a0<em><strong>Wonderland Escapes<\/strong><\/em> nad it\u2019s 50 km away from the city of Cape Town. Le Grand Jardin was a wedding gift for the daughter of the neighboring estate and was designed by a student of\u00a0<em><strong>Sir Herbert Baker<\/strong><\/em>\u2013 the most\u00a0<em><strong>notable architect<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0working in South Africa in the 1900s.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" The garden served as an inspiration for the\u00a0<strong>home\u2019s interior aesthetic<\/strong>. The walls of the double-volume entrance hall, covered in <strong>De Gournay\u2019s<\/strong> <strong>Amazonia wallpaper<\/strong>, act as an exuberant welcome and\u00a0<strong>invitation to enjoy the garden<\/strong>\u00a0that offers an\u00a0<strong>intimate private world of escape<\/strong>. The pool pavilion with 3 en-suite bedrooms opens onto the solar-heated pool area with a\u00a0<strong>summer room<\/strong>. When we walk through the home, the design immediately\u00a0<strong>evokes memory with the hoots of night owls<\/strong>, nostalgic aromas of home-baked bread in the kitchen, and roses in the garden.
