The french contemporary architect Didier Faustino<\/em>\u00a0was invited by the luxury<\/em> fashion house<\/em> Herm\u00e8s<\/em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>to realize the staging of the new jewellery collection. Getting its inspiration on the theme of cosmogony<\/em> \u2013 the branch of science that explores the origin of the universe, stars and solar system \u2013 the art installation<\/em> is composed by twelve iron boxes suspended within a frame and arranged in a perfect circle that creates a futuristic atmosphere.<\/p>\n

Set in a dark space, the pieces are displayed and highlighted within the glass-fronted boxes which introduces a basic representation of the notion of time. By choosing rough materials such as crude iron and non-perfect 3D printings, Didier Faustino\u00a0makes a visual counterpoint to the magnificence of the jewels. Also the light that comes from the heart of the sculpture gives the constrasting feeling that the installation is breathing by the variations of light.<\/p>\n

The jewellery collection, named HB IV Continuum, was designed by the renowned designer Pierre Hardy. The line-up combines haute jewellery with a touch of a rebellious nature and features several distinct groups of stunning pieces<\/a> including Ombres et Lumi\u00e8re, Attelage C\u00e9leste and Feux du Ciel. From gold and silver to pearls and stones, the new Herm\u00e8s<\/strong> <\/em>collection is born out of different influences including baroque, equestrian and even punk.<\/p>\n
