Il Sereno, designed by Patricia Urquiola, brings a new era of luxury to the banks of Italy\u2019s Iconic Lake Como<\/strong><\/p>\n

This sophisticated, luxurious hotel<\/strong><\/em> opened this year to be one of the most elegant and wanted destinations in Italy. Il Sereno<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>was awarded with the title of \u201cMost Anticipated New Luxury Hotel Opening in 2016\u201d<\/strong><\/em> and it features 30 oversized suites all with their own furnished terraces and impressive lake views.<\/p>\n

Patricia Urquiola<\/strong><\/em><\/a> and her team truly worked hard on this project and envisioned every detail of the hotel, from the architecture<\/strong><\/em> to the interior design<\/strong><\/em>. Design<\/strong><\/em> customized furniture<\/strong><\/em>, rugs, wall coverings, lighting <\/strong><\/em>and even foulards for the staff, Urquiola\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>created a contemporary hotel contrasting the classical designs around Lake Como<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

The 30 spacious rooms all make full use of the natural light and awe-inspiring scenery with floor-to-ceiling windows and views of the peaceful waterfront. Keeping with the Sereno<\/strong><\/em> promise that there is no substitute for space and a view, this intimate yet sophisticated property complements the breath-taking mountains, and tranquil waters with ease.<\/p>\n

The property features a private beach, as well as a dock, allowing guests to arrive via one of the hotel\u2019s boats, custom-built by Ernesto Riva. The 60-foot-long freshwater infinity pool suspended over the lake is without a doubt one of Il Sereno<\/strong><\/em>\u2018s show-stopping features, and the large sundeck is perfect for spending a leisurely afternoon under the Italian sun.<\/p>\n
