It might be said that David\u2019s work is known for trying to bring to <strong>modernism<\/strong> a touch of <strong>warmth<\/strong> and <strong>personality<\/strong>, and to <strong>traditionalism<\/strong> <strong>young energy<\/strong> and a dash of the <strong>exotic<\/strong>. For a project to be successful he believes in the importance of getting the architecture right, but that good decoration should also be a portrait of the person who lives there. His projects have been published in <strong>Vogue, Elle Decor, Architectural Digest, House Beautiful, House &amp; Garden, Town &amp; Country, <\/strong>and <strong>Veranda,<\/strong> as well as target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"><strong> modern children\u2019s furniture<\/strong><\/a> which channeled the style and beauty of pieces from the 1930s and \u201950s to lift the <strong>writer<\/strong> on the history of architecture and design, from 2010-2012 he worked as contributing design editor to the <strong>Wall Street Journal<\/strong>. After 2012 he did so for <em><strong>T<\/strong><\/em>, the <strong>New York Times Style Magazine<\/strong>, and now writes the <em><strong>Case Studies<\/strong> <\/em>column for <strong>Town &amp; Country<\/strong>.
