Maison et Objet 2026: Shaping The Future of Design in Paris

Maison et Objet 2026 is poised to once again position Paris at the heart of global design, creativity, and interior innovation. As one of the most influential trade fairs in the decor, furniture, and lifestyle sectors, this highly anticipated edition promises a compelling dialogue between heritage and forward-thinking vision. From emerging design narratives and sustainable practices to daring material experiments and elevated craftsmanship, the fair will bring together designers, brands, and industry leaders eager to forecast the trends that will define interiors in the year ahead. More than an event, Maison et Objet 2026 stands as a pivotal moment for those shaping the future of design.

A Showcase of Past Reveals The Future

Under the theme Past Reveals Future, Maison et Objet 2026 explores the dialogue between heritage and innovation, highlighting how historical references, traditional craftsmanship, and cultural memory can inform the design of tomorrow. By reinterpreting the past through a contemporary lens, the show invites creatives to transform legacy into forward-thinking aesthetics, where timeless techniques meet experimental forms, materials, and technologies.

From January 15 to 19, Maison et Objet brings together creators and brands that blend technical excellence with a contemporary outlook, redefining how we inhabit spaces today. Across seven halls and six sectors, the Parisian fair presents an immersive, carefully curated journey where innovation meets tradition and timeless craftsmanship is reinterpreted through modern design, positioning Paris once again as a leading global hub for the future of design.

Building on this vision, trend forecasting agency GOODMOODS presents a sensory, forward-looking interpretation of the theme through four distinct manifestos: Metamorphosis, Mutation, Recompensed Baroque, and Neo-Folklore. Each manifesto explores a unique trajectory for contemporary design, examining its evolving dialogue with heritage, form, and creative expression.

Designer of the Year: Harry Nuriev

Known for his boundary-pushing sensibility and poetic resistance to convention, Harry Nuriev presents an installation that embodies his singular perspective. Immersive and deeply conceptual, the work draws from his Transformism philosophy, transforming the familiar into the iconic and weaving past references into a forward-looking narrative.

This January, at Maison et Objet 2026, the Designer of the Year will unveil their latest work: a new collection of home objects created for Baccarat. Visitors will also be immersed in a series of scenographic installations designed to echo and enhance the Parisian spirit of the iconic Maison.
