Madrid was not only the capital of Spain, but also that of the interior design world last month with Casa Decor 2017! From May 10th to June 18th, the city welcomed professionals from this fields, offering a vibrant programme with exhibitions, meetings and even an awards ceremony.
This edition was particularly special as it was not only the 52nd one, but it marked the design event‘s 25th aniversary! A great opportunity to celebrate design even more than usual.
The event was held in one the capital’s most beautiful buildings, typical of the city’s architecture in the 20th century. The façade was decorated by Raquel Oliva and Fernando de Mauban as one of the projects presented during Casa Decor 2017!
This decorated space was realized by Blanca Hevia Fernandez and Beatriz Cerezo and named “Tropical living”. An amazing idea as the Tropical style is one of the hottest trend for Spring & Summer! The interior design show really gets it all right.
And as great finish to a month of celebration, an awards ceremony was held on Friday, June 16th to recognize the work of decorators and interior designers who exposed their work during the event. The jury was composed of leading figures from the industry and visitors could also vote for their favorite decor. A highlight!
With Casa Decor 2017, Madrid proved once again that it has nothing to envy landmark cities like New York or London. We can’t wait to see more of Spanish talent!
