The bespoke car was presented at the Concorso d’Eleganza at Villa d’Este, Italy, last week-end. It features an exclusive design inspired, according to the customer’s wishes, by the classy 1920s and 1930s. From the famous Rolls Royce statuette on a classical, straight-lined front, to a dramatic curvy back, shines a deep blue body embellished by touches of bright metal.

The new most expensive car in the world is a two-seater commissioned by an anonymous gentleman, and hand-manufactured from scratch following his ideas. It took four years, and all of Rolls Royce‘s skills and expertise to create the tourer, that will join its owner’s collection of custom-made private yachts and his private aircraft! The Sweptail is worth around 3 times the value of its follower in terms of price.

Rolls Royce managed an impressive hit with the Sweptail, not only with the making of the car itself, but also in keeping a lot of mystery surrounding its manufacturing and its commissioner. This baby will undoubtedly go down in the luxury car history! Plus, as a one-off, no other model of the Sweptail will be sold. You can still go for the second most expensive car: the $4.8-million-worth CCXR Trevita by Koenigsegg!
