A graduate of the Santos School of Architecture and Urbanism, Sig Bergamin is globally acclaimed for his unique style in creating audacious spaces. Throughout a brilliant career of more than 35 years, he created his brand, his style – a combination of eclecticism, ethnic diversity, humor and versatility, which he made the tools of the trade, carrying out projects in Brazil, in the United States and in Europe. Owner of an architecture firm in São Paulo, with offices in New York and Paris, he is the author of various national and international publications. Bergamin has won international awards for his work and is featured in Elle Décor’s A-List and in Architectural Digest’s AD 100 list.
La Gorge Cottage
The environments that Sig Bergamin creates are as warm, welcoming, and exuberant as he is. They have all the generosity and hospitality, the color, the magic, and the sensuous fun of Brazil, touched with the sophistication of this well-traveled man of the world who is as at home in a Paris salon or a Manhattan penthouse as he is in a palm-fringed tropical beach.
Home Surfside
“There’s a carefree elegance to Sig Bergamin’s work, and his artful interiors are infused with such joy—each room an exuberant, unpredictable panoply of gorgeous color, pattern, and texture. In his own homes, especially, you’ll find striking art, masses of flowers, and stacks and stacks of books. Really, what more could one want?”.
Beach Collector’s House
…once talking to Sig about taste he replied: “I like everything…”. What a bold statement I thought! The truth is that from that moment on I realized how universal and beautiful his work really is and his bravery shows true in every project he embraces.
New York House
There is a serious playfulness, a beautiful chaos of patterns, colors, silhouettes and eras in Sig Bergamin’s interiors that brings authentic design credibility into all that he touches. He is a master of rich layering and bringing a true sense of destination to every room, grand or small.
Paris House
Sig’s style is to me the perfect mix between eclectism and elegance. The South American vibe mixed with his knowledge of European antiques and art decoratifs works really well and you can feel it in his decors. He always finds the right way to use our products in his projects in a very unique way. We are very proud to see our fabrics, rugs and wallpaper used in his various homes around the world.
Home Miami Beach
Sig has a true collector’s eye and mixes colors, patterns, and periods to an ebullient effect. He’s been an early fan of some of our ahead-of-the-curve designers and his exuberant and bold style is truly special and WOW. It’s impossible not to be happy in one of Sig’s rooms.
