Founded in 1989, Marmol Radziner is a unique design-build practice led by architects. Since its inception, the firm has developed a reputation for innovative design and precision in applying construction standards. They offer interior design services, as well as custom furniture design and fabrication. Their in-house designers and master craftsmen can create environments at any level of customization. By adopting the role of the traditional “master builder,” Marmol Radziner integrates a variety of design services with construction capabilities.

A team of architects, interior designers, landscape designers, metal fabricators, carpenters, furniture makers, and construction crew possess a depth of knowledge and breadth of experience that cannot be found at a single-discipline firm. Marmol Radziner currently employs over 200 people in their office, shops and in the field.

One of the unique aspects of Marmol Radziner is that they are both architects and contractors. They provide a single source of responsibility from project conception through building occupancy. Early in their architectural careers, they saw mistakes happen when they handed a project over to a contractor who would not build the project as it was drawn.

In the typical architect/contractor relationship, both sides have only partial control of the overall process. Information can be lost during the transfer of responsibility. Also, a client can end up in the middle of a conflict in which the architect blames the contractor and the contractor blames the architect for a problem. Design-build allows Marmol Radziner to pursue standards of excellence that are difficult to realize in the typical architect/contractor relationship.

Perry Dining Chair 

Perry is a dining chair inspired by the most famous occasional designs – it features a body structure produced in solid walnut wood, which makes it a durable and solid chair. Both the seat and the back cushions are upholstered in leather, evoking a sober look that contrasts with metal shoes on its legs, made of polished brass.
