Sofia Joelsson Design has restored this incredible Penthouse in South Beach, Miami, after a flood. The goal was to make the space more functional for the family, thus bringing a beautiful view of the ocean to downtown Miami.

Sofia Joelsson Design is conducted by Sofia Joelsson, a Swedish Native who has been increasingly prominent in Miami and in the United States. Her incredible interior design firm stands out for her meticulousness and attention to detail on every project for every client. She perfectly combines her “design identity with the vision and desire of her client.” Sofia travels around the world affording the opportunity to visit design markets for new state-of-the-art materials, technologies, objects, and ideas.

Sofia Joelsson’s Design team decided to open up the kitchen to create an even larger environment than it had, also connecting to a clear glass wine cellar so the family could place their wine collection. The transformation of the rooftop terrace with plunge pool, grill and infinity entry area made this incredible Penthouse one of the most desirable units in South Beach, Miami.

The family wanted a more beachy and light environment, unlike what consisted of the colors of the previous Penthouse, such as dark green and wood. The new color palette was inspired by the blue of the sky, and by the color of the water, which you can see from all roofs. The Sofia Joelsson Design team suggested the wooden floor, but in a porcelain material to create an easy-to-maintain unit.
