When he was eight years old, he designed and furnished the home of his grandparents. After concluding his studies, Garcia went on to work for a practice of contemporary architects and become producing hospitality interiors, such as Le Méredien hotels and Royal Monceau à Paris. He was also responsible for the interior architecture of the Hôtel Costes and restaurant. It was here that his style becomes to form more clearly, seductive and quite characteristic. Garcia also designed the interiors for Hotel Majestic and the Fouquet restaurant.

He also became an avid collector of furniture and royal art objects dispersed after the French Revolution. For his achievements, he was named commander of the Order of Arts and Letters, and a Chevalier in the order of the Légion d’honneur. Recently, the designer refurbished and redeveloped the interiors of the Louvre Museum and the Château de Versailles. In the first case, he worked on the 35 rooms of the prestigious museum taking into consideration 18th-century French furniture whereas in the second one he collaborated on the private apartments of the Château.
