Josh Held Design is a New York-based full-service design agency founded in 2009 by architect and designer Josh Held. The firm specializes in evolving the designed environment and enhancing user experiences across various sectors, including hotels, casinos, nightclubs, restaurants, theaters, retail spaces, and residential projects.

Josh Held began his career with an 11-year tenure at the Rockwell Group, where he immersed himself in all aspects of hospitality and entertainment architecture. This experience honed his ability to bring concepts of any size to life while maintaining exceptional custom detailing. Prior to establishing his own firm, Held served as a Senior Associate at Zeff Design, leading the design team responsible for the 2 million square foot expansion of the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, completed in 2010.

Since its inception, Josh Held Design has undertaken numerous notable projects both domestically and internationally. In New York City, the firm contributed to the design of the Dream Hotel Downtown and Midtown, as well as the renovation of the W Hotel Times Square. Their portfolio also includes the design of prominent nightlife venues such as Marquee NYC and TAO Las Vegas. Internationally, the firm has worked on projects in locations including Singapore and Dubai.

In July 2019, Josh Held joined Wimberly Interiors as Vice President and Director of Entertainment, bringing over 20 years of award-winning design experience to the firm. In this role, he supports managing director Margaret McMahon and spearheads the firm’s entertainment, gaming, nightlife, and retail design projects, aiming to enhance Wimberly Interiors’ offerings across the U.S., UK, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.
