Luxury Design & Craftsmanship Summit 2019: The Highlights
The 2nd edition of the Luxury Design & Craftsmanship Summit was a real blast and, first of all, we would like to thank all of you who participated in this special celebration. After two amazing days filled with design trends, keynote speakers and a live showcase, the LDC Summit promises to come back next year with the mission of elevating design and craftsmanship once more. For those that couldn’t attend the most anticipated design event of the year, here’s a little round-up for you!

First things first – the LDC Summit is already known for its live showcase with several master artisans that provide a unique experience through soulful crafts and ancestral arts. Ceramics, Porcelain Painting, Silver Chiseling, Chiseling, Filigree, Metal Working, Jewelry, Woodworking, Bobbin Lace, Embedding, Wadding, Weaving, Shoemaking, Embroidery from Madeira and Torno were all present at Pavilhão Multiusos de Gondomar in Oporto.
Moving forward, the four panels of discussion were focused on varied themes such as the future of craftsmanship, the importance of fusing design with artisanal techniques, and even topics regarding branding and marketing on the present day. Christian Haas (Christian Haas Studio), Emmanuel Babled (Babled Studio), Conceição Amaral (Fundação Ricardo Espírito Santo Silva), Rui Pinto (Pullcast), Miguel Costa (Lamborghini/Bentley), Raquel Costa (Swarovski), Khaoula Ouerfelli (Assouline) and Nini Andrade da Silva were only a few of the speakers that took the 2nd edition of the LDC Summit into higher grounds.
