The show is called “From Time to Time” and takes place until the 29 of July at Pace London. There you’ll be able to see sculpture, paintings and drawings. All of these creations were inspired in geometric forms and colourful contrasts. This way the creators work is still identified as her own because of her previous arts.
All the work found in the show features oversized chess pieces with angular shapes that come from buildings and other architectural elements. It also possible to found 3D elements presente in some os the paintings.
On the walls is also painted some graphic elements which complete her work and echos their colors and forms. “Through the representation, I learned about looking and transforming what I saw into a painting,” said Du Pasquier. “The abstract work is a different kind of position. I become a builder, an inventor.”
In the middle of the room is possible to see a red room, which is used to expose the most abstract paintings of the artist. Du Pasquier describes herself has a “painter who makes heer own models”.
In this outstanding show you can observe the best of postmodernism as a whole, a revival, with its bright colors and bold forms being reinvented.
