In November, a new president will be elected for the United States, ushering in a new first family into the prestigious presidential white house residence. Every time a new president moves into the white house, the interior design is revamped to the new occupant’s style. This January, either the Clinton or Trump family will move into 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, and 1stdibs asked five American interior designers for their take on the new designs with stunning watercolor recreations by Mita Corsini Bland. From traditional to modern, here are five designers ideas for revamping the white house.

David Netto from David Netto Design took an elegant, Louis XV approach for Donald Trump’s Yellow Oval Room. Like a decadent throne room, Netto’s white house vision features rich colors and ornate Parisian details.
Betsy Burnham of Burnham Design designed Hillary Clinton’s West Sitting Hall, often used as an informal living room, as classic meets eclectic with fine antiques, funky vintage pieces and comfy upholstery.
Robert Couturier from Robert Couturier & Associates provided an unconventional design for Trump’s Oval Office in the White House. With rich orange, mirrored surfaces and curved designs, the Oval Office will convey the vibe of an 70s nightclub lounge.

Designer Alexandra Loew chose to design Clinton’s Yellow Oval Room as a blend between New York and Southern hospitality, like Mr. and Mrs. Clinton. Her empowering design uses a color palette of steely blues and shades of cream with a touch of terra-cotta.
Loew would keep Trump’s Yellow Oval Room a blend of traditional and extravagant. In yellow and grey tones, the furniture would be 70s vintage intermixed with traditional touches and patterns.

For Clinton’s Lincoln Bedroom, interior designer Brian McCarthy highlighted American art and design, pulling together a traditional and elegant look reminiscent of the early days at the White House.
