Swiss Bureau is a multi-award-winning interior design and interior fit-out company based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. They provide a wide range of services for their clients in the commercial, hospitality, public and residential sectors not only in Dubai but worldwide. Joakim de Rham, a Swiss interior architect and his local partner, Maher Al Zarooni founded the company in 2003. SARA Group HQ
Within an industrial setting filled with lush greenery, SARA Group’s interiors are an eclectic tribute to its core values and the various brands they carry. The new design nods to a flourishing business philosophy, shifting its focus on contemporary working cultures, sustainability, and employee wellbeing visualized in a refined yet bold way. Swiss Bureau transformed its office to balance a functional and corporate environment, combined with an industrial touch and warm, collaborative spirit.
The Ministry of Culture & Knowledge
The Ministry of Culture & Knowledge Development works to enrich the cultural sector creatively and innovatively. The brief called for a celebration of local culture and community to be visible within their new government office – underlying the importance of how creativity shapes their current workspace. Its enduring interiors are a design-driven environment intended to inspire its occupants and visitors. Swiss Bureau’s concept is inspired by the enduring local craftsmanship of Al Sadu weaving.
Mirabaud Bank, Abu Dhabi
Founded in 1819, Mirabaud Group provides its clients with customized financial and advisory services in three core areas: Wealth Management, Asset Management, and Securities. Swiss Bureau was appointed to design a space to reflect the bank’s first commitment and grand expansion in the UAE. Contrasted with light marble and soft timber textures, and bold yet elegant details make for an impactful finish. A strategic and fluid layout with aesthetic, informal meeting rooms provides comfortable environments for both clients and employees. Mirabaud’s new space intends to build a bridge between the traditional and the contemporary, accentuating the same notion that drives the long-term vision the group pursues in its management activities.
Undisclosed Travel Company (Pitch)
A thoughtfully designed pitch curated by Swiss Bureau for an undisclosed travel and tourism company in Dubai. This exciting design aimed to create a unique office environment encapsulating the joys of travel and technology, with an overarching human-centric approach. The concept for this new office is inspired by the journey, celebrating the reasons why people travel. The design emphasizes and enables a process of discovery, allowing users to easily connect with each other whilst traveling seamlessly throughout the space.
Galadari Brothers
The Galadari Brothers have been intrinsically linked to UAE’s growing stature in the world since 1960. As one of the leading conglomerates in UAE, they represent a grand family legacy of persistence and prosperity. Their brief was to design a space that blends the story of its heritage with the functionality and elegance of a modern office environment. Its opulent interiors embody the company’s story into a timeless design embracing a refined minimalist concept.
Julius Baer Corporate Office
Swiss Bureau collaborated closely with leading Swiss wealth management group, Julius Baer, to design its new corporate office in Dubai. As the firm enters a new chapter in the UAE with its move to ICD Brookfield Place, an iconic new development located in Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), Swiss Bureau worked with the Julius Baer’s global architecture concept as its framework to help maintain uniformity across locations. The new premises intend to provide greater interaction space and promote employee well-being while offering unrivaled views of the DIFC and Downtown Dubai. The contemporary corporate workspace designed with sustainability in mind has an expansive client reception area with seven meeting rooms and three boardrooms with state-of-the-art facilities and excellent infrastructure. Colors inspired by the Dubai desert add a local touch where light sand and orange hues connect with biophilic elements.
