The Luxury Design & Craftsmanship Summit 2018 reveals itself as a transversal event – old artisan techniques meet futuristic design concepts in a luxurious perspective. This is the definitive opportunity to be in touch with the best that craftsmanship and design have to offer. Designers, makers, brands – all of these under the same roof. The purpose is to create a quintessential experience in what comes to traditional arts, innovative designs and the connection between each other.

During this two-day event, thinkers and makers will gather in order to reflect a new approach. Keynote speakers will provide a lively debate focused on themes such as The Value of Craftsmanship for the Luxury World, Design as a Driving Force for Local Craftsmanship and Luxury Branding: The Behind the Scenes Story. A unique scenario for those who never settle.

Taking place at Pavilhão Multiusos de Gondomar, designed by the iconic Álvaro de Siza Vieira, this event will bring back the glory days of a city that is known for its devotion to craftsmanship. Jewelry, metals and woods, among others, will be combined as the primal elements of a cultural heritage that lives forever.

Among the several influential guest entities of the event, we highlight the Michaelangelo Foundation, Vista Alegre, Fundação Ricardo Espírito Santo Silva, Luís Onofre, Topázio and Boca do Lobo.
