Thoughtful Luxury Interior Design By Oliver Burns
Oliver Burns believe that luxury design should go beyond the aesthetic to reflect deeper values and meaning. The concept of Thoughtful Luxury underpins everything the firm does. It is reflected in the designs, from the concepts they develop to the thoughtfully layered details they create with artisans and craftsmen. It is demonstrated in the unique understanding they have of their discerning clients and translated into their vision of client care. From concept to completion, this approach ensures that all projects are thoughtfully designed, thoughtfully built and thoughtfully finished.
Belgravia Townhouse
Responsible for not only the design but also the build, Oliver Burns acted as designer, development manager and main contractor for an international client on this inspiring project, solely responsible for crafting and delivering its transformation. Set over six floors, this beautiful building required meticulous care to restore it to its former glory. Working alongside The Grosvenor Estate and specialist craftsmen, architectural features such as full-height doors and ornate plaster-work were restored and reinstated. Air conditioning, underfloor heating, an intelligent lighting control system and a lift with access to five floors ensures this classical home is as functional as it is beautiful.
The Lakehouse
Situated on the tranquil shores of the Italian lakes, with a stunning backdrop of mountains and cypress-fringed water, Oliver Burns created this stunning villa as a holiday home for one of their dear long-standing clients. Responsible not only for the architectural interior design but also the development management of the project, the brief was to lead and manage the thoughtful transformation of this derelict property, returning The Lakehouse to its former glory.
Beau House
Beau House features a truly exceptional penthouse in the heart of iconic St James’s; a collaboration between Dukelease and Oliver Burns. Boasting panoramic views of the London skyline, this unique 4,000 sq ft penthouse is the jewel in the crown of this exclusive development comprising just eight luxury apartments. Designing the entrance to the building and the vast three-floor penthouse, they set out to create an extraordinary home with quintessential British style; underpinned by their ethos of Thoughtful Luxury.
The Regent’s Park Townhouse
The Regent’s Park forms the backdrop for this exquisite Grade I listed Nash townhouse that has it all, from high ceilings and grand fireplaces to sublime architectural details. Set over six stunning floors, Oliver Burns designed this family home to present the perfect mix of classic and contemporary style, showcasing the building’s beauty whilst breathing new life into its splendid proportions. Pops of color punctuate a timelessly neutral palette throughout, where shades of blue and green coalesce with mixed metallics and muted hues of grey, champagne and mink.
Mayfair Family Residence
Situated in one of the most exclusive and secure private enclaves in Mayfair, overlooking picturesque private gardens, Oliver Burns designed this beautiful Georgian townhouse for a lovely family that has been a private client for many years. A technically challenging listed building in a state of disrepair, the firm was responsible for the architecture, architectural interior design and management of the project. Spearheading its thoughtful restoration, they worked closely with the Grosvenor Estate, English Heritage and conservation officers, to overcome complex M&E issues and incorporate a lift into the building, with air conditioning and underfloor heating throughout.
Contemporary Country House
This prestigious contemporary country house showcases the minimalist aesthetic and playful design details synonymous with Mid-Century Modern design. Surrounded by the beautiful English countryside, this vast new-build features floor-to-ceiling windows that highlight the stunning rural location. Teeming with unexpected details at every turn, iconic pieces such as an Eero Saarinen table and Warren Platner chair elevate the space from ordinary to extraordinary. The spectacular architecture forms the perfect backdrop to showcase further eye-catching design details such as a 60’s color palette and vibrant furnishings.
