In Martyn Lawrence Bullard’s Spanish villa perched above in the Hollywood Hills, the designer created his own Moroccan-meets-midcentury destination. The airy interior is a showcase for his signature “exotica” with loads of Moroccan arches, marble floors, black-and-white tiles, sexy seating, warm leafy accents, cool brass, vintage photography, and Brit wit. An obvious theme is that of mixed patterns, carefully using scale and color to “complete, not combat”.
