AN ELEGANT LOBBY DESIGNED BY Solomon Cordwell Buenz

Lobby Design that celebrates the space’s volume and natural light.

Solomon Cordwell Buenz is an architecture, interior design, and planning firm that practices nationally from offices in Chicago, San Francisco, Boston, and Seattle. Since 1931, SCB has made a lasting impact on the nation’s skyline, campuses, and neighborhoods, helping our clients across the country achieve their goals, serve their constituencies, and make their mark.

Their approach is to ask questions, listen, and apply their industry-leading standards and progressive creative vision to determine the best design response for each project. For Solomon Cordwell Buenz, context is key, inventiveness is crucial, and user comfort is king.

Solomon Cordwell Buenz’s diverse practice includes multi-family residential, urban planning, commercial, hospitality, retail, corporate office, higher education, laboratory, and transportation projects. The team is nimble, creative, and efficient, and their designs are responsive, responsible, and distinctive.

Within all their projects, this astonishing lobby is a true inspiration for us. Let’s create a sophisticated lobby inspired by this one? So, let’s go!

If we take a good look at this lobby project, our Andes Armchair, by Brabbu fits so well in this ambiance. Andes Armchair is a mid-century modern furniture piece that pays tribute to the strength, of the people who strive grandeur of the Andes’ mountains only matched by the surviving skills. With matte-aged brass legs and covered in a rich cotton velvet upholstery, this accent chair adds a strong yet graceful touch to any home decor.

YUPIK Rug, by Rug’Society, is inspired by a group of indigenous people from Alaska called “The Yupik”. Traditionally, the families spent spring and summertime at fishing camps and then joined with others at village sites for the winter. The travel to search for food and the resistance to cold weather of these people are represented on the YUPIK hand-tufted dyed wool rug, like the routes that they have taken for all these years.

Like every room, a lobby space needs some points of light. For this, we can use the Louise Floor Lamp, by Brand Van Egmond, as a simple frame, decorated in a pleasing rhythm with glass lanterns. A hint of chaos, never far away in designs from William Brand, is present: the different colors and positions of the glass lanterns have a joyful effect.

To complement this lobby design, the Apotheosis Center Table, by Luxxu represents a living anthem of sophistication and exclusive design. The Apotheosis will change any division, creating a remarkable and unique atmosphere. This center table has audacious and splendid harmony between the finest materials, polished brass, black lacquer, and Emperador dark marble.
