Magnanimous and opulent, this new Covet House project, designed by Basma Elhefnawi and Egypt’s Oculus CG Studio, is a veritable ode to the royalty and lust of the more classical times of our history. Behind all the brightness and sumptuousness, we can find a cozy and elegant reading corner where blue, grey, black, and white tones meet. Strong but, at the same time, relaxing colors represent a clear invitation to well-being and enjoyment of the surrounding space.
Versailles Armchair was inspired by the creativity and rich decoration of the Versailles Palace. Boca do Lobo opens the way to freedom and the need of bringing extravagant creations to life, especially in a reading corner like this.
Vinicius Side Table is another successful example of the duality and contrasts achieved with the combination of two of the world’s finest materials: Nero Marquina and Estremoz marble. With an hourglass shape, this side table is highlighted with the unique polished brass band in the center of the design that unites the two incredible parts.
Not visible but still illuminating the whole atmosphere, we have the Pharo II Wall Lamp. Pharos was an island where the most famous and grand lighthouse stood in ancient Alexandria. Nowadays, lighthouses take on simpler forms, just like this wall lamp. Made of gold-plated brass and crystal glass, Pharo II Wall Lamp is a beacon of light to rupture the darkness in a magnificent reading corner.
