Here’s What We Know About the Moongata Design Awards 2017 in Madrid
Casa Decor 2017 is approaching but before, you must hear about another hot event in the Spanish design world: the Moongata Design Awards 2017 in Madrid! On June 8th, the first edition of this event will celebrate design by honoring the most talented young designers from Madrid’s prestigious design school IED (Istituto Europeo di Design). And do you know what’s best about it? Our beloved brand Brabbu is involved! That’s right, let’s discover more about this new and promising design event!

MOONGATA and Brabbu are not only two awesome creators of of high-end design pieces, they’re also close partners! The pictures show examples of their common projects. They will actually share a space at the upcoming big design event Casa Decor, happening just a few days later in Madrid! It’s thus natural for Brabbu to be a part of the jury of the event, alongside representatives from MOONGATA and IED Madrid, as well as top professionals from the design industry.
The Moongata Design Awards 2017 let a chance to current and recently-graduated students from IED Madrid to enter the contest and see their creations rewarded. Registrations were open until late May and 10 finalists have been announced on June 2nd. Creators of the best design works will be revealed and receive their prizes on June 8th!
This contest is a great opportunity for the students to celebrate design, confront their creations with their peers’ and get recognition from top professionals. The winner will see his/her piece added to Moongata Studio’s collection and sold for a 12-year period, and will be given visibility by the brand. A huge chance and for young talents!
The Moongata Design Awards 2017 ceremony will happen at the same time as DecorAcción 2017, another key event for Madrid’s design community. All eyes will definitely be on the Spanish capital in the following days!
After Milan and New York, it’s now Madrid’s turn to celebrate design and host some of the year’s best design events.
