Specializing in high-end residential projects, NYC Interior Design is a full-service company founded by Erika Flugger. Erika trained as an interior designer in New York City and has a keen interest in designs from different eras, origins, cultures, and styles. Her understanding of scale, proportion, and design enables her to create harmonious, clean, and warm living environments. Thanks to those skills, she has designed, renovated, and redesigned high-end residential projects, including a very special one, Metropolitan Home’s Showtime House, where Erika was able to represent the spirit of hit shows such as “Californication” and “The Tudors” to name a few. On that astonishing work, she was able to show the chic modernist style dwelling within the interior to bring out the best of it.
More recently, Erika wanted to work with more neutral and soft tones and thus this living room came to life. Here we can clearly see how well she can create timeless, sophisticated, and functional interiors. With an understanding of timeless design, custom furniture, and the construction of fine handcrafted furnishings, she has an affinity for classical forms and close attention to detail, quality, and functionality that primes in sophisticated living room environments.
Following her signature luxury experience, and honoring her father’s talent for craftsmanship we picked some of our handmade pieces that would surely look amazing in this living room: Jute rug by Caffe Latte which is a modern and neutral piece made of botanic silk and with a soft presence. The Essex sofa by Brabbu, upholstered in velvet and has a base in aged brass matte that adds charisma. Next, we have the Coltrane suspension lamp by DelightFULL that has a minimalist and industrial feeling to it. And last but not least, the Loren armchair by Essential Home with a compact, curved look and its rolled arms that make it a luxury statement piece!
