5 Unmissable Design Talks at Salone del Mobile 2023
Salone del Mobile 2023 will take place from April 18th to April 23rd. As with previous editions, it will be held in the heart of Milan, on Foro Buonaparte Street. The Salone Internazionale del Mobile was founded in 1961 to promote Italian furniture and furnishings exports, and it quickly became the most anticipated event in the furniture world. A Conversation With Shigeru Ban – Balancing Architectural Works and Social Contributions
The famous Japanese architect and 2014 Pritzker Prize winner will be part of the Salone del Mobile Milano programme of talks in 2023. His social and environmental commitment, as evidenced by his exploration and use of low-cost and sustainable materials such as cardboard and bamboo, extends to his thoughts on the use of light in design. The architect will discuss the potential use of wood in architecture, disaster relief activities using building technology, and architectural efforts towards the future. In addition, a reflection on the use of light in the project.

They will also discuss future prospects, lighting as a design tool, and sustainability awareness.
